Man, it's a damn shame Boroda got PNG'd before he could contribute to this thread.

No kidding.

I am sorry Iron Eagle isn't even close to believable. Shooting the tower (made of iron and wood) with cannon and having it explode in a ball of fire, seeing that I turned it off. :cry :cry waste of time

Yeah....kids being able to take an F-16 fully loaded with ords......riiiiiight....

A great US-Russia war would be a film adaptation of "Red Storm Rising", although it won't happen because it falls outside the Clancy/Jack Ryan continuum.

Now there's idea. I'd pay good money to see Birmingham getting nuked.  :D

How can you say these things about Iron Eagle?! It is the best 80's film apart from Top Gun, of course. Why hasn't the USAF used the Hades bomb more often? That infinitely wide wall of fire, around which you can't drive since no vehicle carries enough fuel, should have been used more often in combat.

You have to admit that blowing up stuff to Queen's 'One Vision' is pretty cool.

And it is better than Red Dawn. Red Dawn felt like a TV movie and apart from an F-111 and a chipboard Frogfoot, I didn't see any planes.

Red Dawn kicked Iron Eagle's butt, pee'd on it, then drank it's blood. :D

Heh, I remember tales of Red Army attacks in WWII grinding to a halt when Ivan came across warehouses of alchy-hol.

Why make Molotov cocktails when you can just toss 'em a bottle of vodka?

Brief hijack... A friend of mine went to a Bar Mitsvah (sp?) recently and had never been to one before.  Toast time came around and while everyone else yelled "Mazal tov" he yelled "Molotov" not knowing the difference.  Everybody got a good chuckle!  :lol

Red Dawn was a great movie.  I still can watch that over and over again.

Iron Eagle was a great movie I used to watch, up untill Flight of the Intruder came along.  I thought that movie was much better than Iron Eagle.
