Netstat and message alpha

Was wondering if you could setup netstat to work like message Alpha. This way you could open netstat and move it to the corner and keep an eye on it. Then turn the Alpha on and make it more transparent. What do you think guys ?

So have a partially transparent netstat graph (with variance and host queue times) on screen in one of the corners?  Nice idea.  THis kind of information is far more useful to have on screen all the time than the "beacon" light.
