Do any of you folks have an opinion on http://www.factcheck.org/.  With all the misinformation out there, would you consider this a credible source?

They appear to cite their sources which is better than 90% of the posts on here.

first element I saw was "did McCain cheat on his first wife"?   Several more elemets all directed towards McCain in tabloid fashion....thats all I needed to see.

typical partisan and biased.

Did you bother to read it? or did you (likely) just dismiss it because it wasn't something you wanted to see?

http://www.factcheck.org/askfactcheck/did_john_mccain_cheat_on_his_first.html

That section that you are whining about is a section where readers can ask questions and then the FactCheck people do the research and provide the facts. If you look at some of the other questions one is "August 29, 2008Does Barack Obama have Kenyan citizenship?"

So they obviously pick questions aimed at both political parties.

FactCheck.org IMO isn't biased and they provide sources and have been used by several of the big media outlets from time to time including FoxNews & CNN.

So wait.. you bash the bloggers when it's something you don't want to hear, yet if it's something you like it's a good source.. Does it work that way for Wikipedia too?   :lol

It's not biased when you're drinking Liberal-flavored Kool-aid. Dude, you need to do a google search on the so-called historic facts that FactCheck has spewed.

"Is factcheck.org politically biased? I don't know, but my guess would be that it's not. The problem is that they get played, and I think the GOP has been more aggressive about playing them. If you set yourself up as the last word on the truth or falsehood of ads, you will immediately be the addresse of a lot of spin."

From your link Rip, I guess they are as close as we can get to the truth? Any other sources anyone could contribute?

Personally, I like to get the facts from every political aspect and then decide what is fact and what is fiction. It's called thinking for yourself instead of playing partisan politics. Try it sometime. It's very refreshing "thinking for yourself".  :rock

Thanks for the insult, you have any links to any non partisan sites, or fact checking sites? Something that you would consider an honest non-biased opinion?

I'll be surprised if there's such a thing as an active site out there that's not either frothing or paid for by either party.

The ONLY facts I need when considering a presidental canidate is their past voting record. I can compare that to the drivel that they spew forth and come to my own conclusions as to who I cast my vote for.

Already made up my mind this time around, and it sure isn't Obama

Nope. I have found every website both republican and democrat to be bias. Thus, the reason why I read both and determine where the truth really lies. Then I vote for the candidate who's issues favor those that I agree with.  The media in general is bias in favor of democrats, there has been many studies to prove this as well.

There are some I favor over others, such as the Wallstreet Journal, but even it has a tinge of favoritism toward the right.
