In this second one, can any of you Germans identify the actual region of the speaker based on his accent?  I have no trouble understanding him, but his accent is different than the places I've been.

edit:  here's another one, not so good:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RiYs_zqnOoQ&feature=related

I'm tempted to say southern Germany, but it's far less pronounced than some of the Bavarians I've worked with, and I can't recall them saying "oos" for "aus" and "leucht" for "leicht".

Pretty plane either way. is it back in the air after the landing crack-up?
... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

He sounds like he is from Baden-Württemberg (thats south west, for those who are not from Germany) but only has a slight dialect.
Dialects change from village to village here sometimes, but it sounds like he is from BW.
