I really couldn't give a rip how many perks were earned by whoever just landed howevermany in whateverride.  This would just add to the already overly cluttered text buffer, providing no useful information whatsoever, creating absolutely no incentive to up a higher ENY ride (since anyone who knows anything understands the relationship between airframe and perks anyway), and besides all that, would just be plain annoying to boot.

You know, its one thing landing kills and bragging about them. Its an entirely different thing bragging about the perks you earned compared to someone else who landed more kills with less perks.

I am not in agreement with this idea.
happy i read most of way down, couldnt agree more. lets say im in a p47-d11, land 3 kills, one n1k, one la, one spit16, perk mod of 1.00, easy math, 15 perks. someone else lands 6 kills, perk mod of 1.00 also, however they wer higher eny planes, such as the 190d, ki84, f4u1d, a yak 9u,yak9t, and a typhoon, im not doin that math, but itd be about, maybe a perk or 2 more or less, however itd may start a rivalry. im in strong disagreement with this.

We could then have this too:

System: A20 has been captured by the Rooks
System: leDragon earned 15.87 Perks in an M-3

Only if you somehow got 2 kills in your M-3 to get it to show, but yeah, that's the idea :)

Boilerdown I'm going against the crowd here and stating that I really like this idea.

You're absolutely right, many people fly LA-7's so they can get the "landed 2 kills" message every once in a while. Imagine their dismay when it says LAFLYERZ has landed 2 kills in a LA-7 (.21)

Looks kind of silly for them.

Or, let's say they have a good sortie and land 7 kills. LAFLYERZ has landed 7 kills in a LA-7 (.81)

There's no doubt the urge will be there for them to up something different to get that number in parenthesis higher. More higher ENY planes will be in the sky = great for gameplay.

The down side to this is that those who are score concious also likely have perks banked and don't really care about them.  It won't keep them from upping the uber planes in the least.  The ones who might be tempted will be those baby seals who need the uber planes just to survive, further imbalancing the "good" and "bad" sticks.

I know I have thousands of perks in all three categories and could care less how many I get or lose on a given sortie.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

HOST: stodd earned 0.87 perks landing 6 kills in a ME163[/b]

Something like that yes?

Cause that almost makes it sound like you're working for the "never-landers"

It would most likely end up looking like this
HOST: stodd earned -36.48 perks crashing into runway with 6 kills on landing in a ME163 :D
Stodd/ CandyMan
I don't get why you even typed that, you know it's stupid.

Boilerdown I'm going to give you a split.

No for fighters, you want to know how many perks you earned, go to the hanger and it will tell you what you made last sortie.
That information does not need to be shared with the arena.

For Bombers however, a resounding YES.
Encourage them to go out there and kill stuff, bombers currently get no acknowledgment of their primary task.
Killing ground objects is why there are they and they get nothing for it. So drop the air to air kills for bombers, and tell us how many perks they made. And give them a GOOD multiplier for each drone that makes it back to base alive.
