HTC... Map Rotation (too many)
« Reply #15 on: November 09, 2001, 03:32:00 PM »
I have had some situations when planning missions where I planned a Sea based mission in the island map, then found on squad night the map changed to the lake map.  Any mission with GVs can be a problem if you end up in a map like Mindanao.

I don't have any problem with coming up with a mission 10 minutes before briefing, but it seems our squad has better turn outs when I can post the mission a few days in advance.  It helps to know what map we will be playing on.

I agree that specific targets can not be set in advance, but knowing the map will give mission planners more options for missions.

We also may find that there are only 2 fields to fly from, but that's a subject for another topic.

I like it the way it is now becuase you have as an objective winning the war by taking all bases from a country.  If you have time based rotations  you would lose that wouldnt you?  Trying for map reset is the strategic end goal.
