Electric lawn mower commercial?
« on: September 14, 2009, 09:27:37 AM »

Has anyone seen the electric lawn mower commercial where the guy is dragged across the yard into the street?  At the end it flashes a date '9.15.2009'?  What's that all about?

its an Audi vehicle that will be shown to the public soon:

http://www.audiusa.com/us/brand/en.html

not sure why they putting to much money into marketting since audis are so expensive only rich blokes can afford one. the Volt has a starting tag of 40 grand which is idiotic given its an electric engine on a cheap car frame.... now they going to put a similar electric engine on an expensive car frame? lol.

Ya know, I've always wondered; if suddenly, geothermal power caught on and we built thousands of "heat sinks" into the earth, thereby cooling the internals of the planet, what would happen?

Then all computer enthusiasts would be making a devious plan to install their PCs in the core of the earth and get free uber-cooling    :D

The liquid outer core composed of iron and nickel creates our magnetic field. If the core solidifies much of the Earth's protective magnetic field would be gone. Most land dwelling creature would cease to exist.

Though geothermal power would not go anywhere near the mantle let alone the core. It would only need to go down a couple of miles at most.

You can use pipes and caverns near the surface for cooling as well. Luray Caverns in Virginia, there is a house on the property that uses fans to pull air from the caverns to act like an air conditioner.
