For those that fail Hitech first intelligence test, picking a name, it's a blessing.  For those unfortunate to NOT have integrity and fortitude it's also a blessing.  I hope the perk system comes through. :pray

Yeah I wish HiTech would have specified weather or not you lose your perks, so please HiTech or someone else like Pyro or Skuzzy let us know. :pray

tried it this afternoon, same as if you call and have HTC do it for you

so i,ll be WWhiskey for a while longer, instead of Whiskey. i might change it after the new download tho?
depends on how the tiger and new t-34/85 is perked, and compares, only other thing i like, that's perked is the 262/163, and i don't get too fly 163 much anymore anyway, at least not on the big maps. sure do miss the little rocket ship that could! :salute

thanks again to HTC for the chance to change, and looking forward to the new stuff :D :D hope to try that new tank out soon! :salute

Wow...what type of player would benifit from that new option then?

I'd much rather have the ignore feature on the forums back.

Well, it takes a load off the HTC team with emails about wanting a name change. You lose all your perks and squad affiliations anyway, basically you just don't have to email them anymore.

See now but that is really the only question no?  We could always change the game ID I thought....... :(
Do you lose perks?

LLogann, you could, but you had to contact HTC to do it. The option to before was simply to change basically the casing. Instead of MstWntd I could have had mStWntD or MSTWNTD. All you could do really.

I will never change my game id..... But I have changed the casing... And being the Donkey's rear that I am, just figured you could with all the "loss of perks" stories that float.  Just do it yourself kind of and if you wrote HTC you could keep your perks....  You know how those rumors fly around!

I didn't bother reading the other topics about the same thing, I wonder if changing the casing of your name still counts as just that and not a complete name change.

I'd assume the casing would still be the same as before.

Changing just the case of letters in the game id does not count as a complete name change.  You'll still retain your perkies and squad affiliation if that's all you change.  But be warned, if you only thought you were changing case and entered a typo instead it would count as a complete game id change.  Luckily, the game prompts you before making the actual change so you can catch yourself.
