It's official, NC has friendly folks.  So says a 6 year (omg!) study.

Yep, they sure do, but they also have plenty non friendly folks too..what a shocker.
Reading some of the editorials makes for some fun times.  For example. apparently it
is the influx of northerners that is responsible for the trashy displays of colored twinkly
Christmas lights all over Charlotte :D

It's not just NC btw, when I was in Georgia a car starter was quoted for $45 over the phone
to a local accented airman.  The same part was nearly twice the price when the airman's pal
from NYC called the same shop.

I'm not saying that everyone is like that south of the Mason-Dixon line, but southern
hospitality and northern rudeness is vastly over emphasized.  Generally you get from a
person what you give them, no matter where you hail from.

My bad, I wasn't trying to reignite a civil war, mostly I thought people would have funny comments that it took 6 years to learn what a couple Andy Griffith shows will tell you.

If you're friendly, you'll usually get friendly response.  There are alot of a-holes down here too.  Just like everywhere else.
