Gentlemen,

249 Sqn RAF is currently accepting applications for new members. Experience is not an issue, we will be glad to accept totally unexperienced pilots that must have the will to endure and improve along the way.

We are a old squadron, formed more than 10 years ago. We fly fighters, mostly, as Bishops, allways, and 99% of the time, Allied in Allied planes - even when it's a handicap - twice a week  - on Wednesdays and Sundays, between 21 and 24 GMT - in European Time Zone.

We are a likeminded group of people that simply like to play together as a team. We are quite relaxed and we don't really care about scores. What we like is good historical gameplay, the feeling of beeing there...

We have some rules: allways play as a team, never shoot parachutes, allways be polite in text and voice with everyone esle and show up regularly on Wednesdays and Sundays.

<Salute> Gentlemen,

I would like to add that 249 Sqn RAF "Gold Coast" is quite an experienced squadron, present in AH for the last five years, WW2OL and Warbirds. Some members also fly in IL2.

We are a group of open-minded people of all ages - getting older - and we value teamplay more than flying skills...

We fly in Euro time because the majority of us are from Europe, mainly UK, although we have some members from the US and other countries.

We have two squad nights every week, Wednesday and Sunday, between 21:30 and 00:00 hours. We fly for Bishops in Main Arena - not very often - almost 100% Allied planes. We may be found in AvA arena most of the time, it's our favorite, flying Allied.

If you would like to have a go, we would be very pleased to take you in. After a short mutual evaluation period you would be officially accepted. Skills are not an issue. We will help you to feel confortable in AH.

Be aware that Squad Operations will be suspended from August 5 until August 26.
