Two things....

First, I sincerely wish that stories about these children would go away.  Obama himself has said many times, over and over, to leave the families out of this grinder, especially the children.  It isn't right, nor is it fair to a 17 year old, to trot out her life onto the national stage, no matter how good or bad that life is.

That being said, I would venture to guess that were Barack Obama to have had a teenage daughter in the same situation, this election would be OVER.

That is the sad state of the electorate these days.

I'll be glad when the elections are over so we can return to a more regular level of stupidity.

The left has no choice but to attack Palin. The problem with attacking someone stronger than you though is that you get your bellybutton kicked. The left is getting it's bellybutton kicked.

I agree.

I'm not so sure about that. He has been accused of being Muslim, and after 9/11 I am surprised that just the accusation didn't kill his chances for president.

News of The World huh?

I hear (from the same source) that Palin and family regularly dines with the Alaskan version of bigfoot.

Anyone that gets off on dragging the antics of a kid, especially a teenager , through the dirt , should make sure that they are not planning on having children or that theirs are already grown and you squeaked through.
Things such as this have a tendency to come back and bite you in the butt otherwise.

Considering his association with Ayers and Wright I'm wondering the same thing. The truth is that if his daughter were being as viciously attacked as is Palin's the left would be having a seizure.

I'm not so sure that that doesn't still have traction.  It continually rises back to the top and must be repetitively talked about, and dismissed with the facts.  A true shame in a country promoting freedom for all, that our knee jerk reactions are what controls us.

The only people I hear talking about it are liberals. I think they call that a straw-man.

The same can be said about many of the things being said about Governor Palin.

Can't say that I disagree with that.

When these two guys agree on something, It's probably a sure bet that the issue is decided.

Really, the whole issue is non-news...Let Jerry Springer jump up and down if you want. It's because we have crap like this, coming from a European newspaper, that we don't really care about what the Euro's think in our elections...to them, it seems' to be just a parlour show.

Sir, sorry to say, but she isn't stronger, just new.

I kept an open mind about Palin until I was completely turned off to her when I saw the Gibson interview.  She was a programmed college student, reciting an exam she crammed for.  As well, I would think that anyone running for the second highest office in the country should at least have a working familiarity with the doctrine that has been applied to foreign policy for the last 7 years, and she had no idea, getting extremely defensive about it, throwing a sharp rebuttal at Gibson.  Both of the candidates on the democratic ticket have commented upon the "Bush doctrine" in detail, and have answered questions phrased exactly like hers.

Thinking like hers, in the wrong places, is going to hurt this country sometime.  Look at the last 8 years for reference.
