One could explain that the guy fkew unaware of you approaching for the kill, until you pinged him. Hearing pings, he started evading and his poor connection gave warps. While he flew level, no matter how poor connection he might had, it could not be seen.
But then again, I have a fresh example of a different scenario that happened few days ago. I was rtb, while higher P 51 showed and clearly went to attack me. Being low and at moderate speed, I waited until I could make him overshoot. Fellow rook came to help too. I was pinged, so the guy clearly had good connection to hit me while I was evading. After half a minute of smooth maneuvering we had neutral situation. Then other rook hit the guy who was obviously unaware of him until then. Parts fell off, but strange things strated happening too.
First he flew sideways, then zoomed up sideways, until he disappeared. No kill. Then he reappears some d20-30 behind and there come Groundhog Day bug. 4-5 times. No kill, nothing. Fellow rook said he saw the same thing.
To me, it is very suspicious that someone, with obviously good connection, starts to warp and dissapear just when he needs it the most.
