2 New Fixes regarding Films THANKS HTC - much appreciated

Added an option in the Flight Options menu to auto-record all your sorties. If you enable this the film recorder will automatically begin at the beginning of your sortie and stop at the end.


The film recorder now prompts you with the option to rename, save or don't save when you stop recording. If you have autofilming enabled, you will get this prompt at the end of your sortie.

my apologies if this was already posted.I did not use a search for this info..simply scanned thru the past 2 pages looking to see if it had been posted...in SatKOTH last night.it seemed alot of the participants was unaware that this was a new updated feature and was happy to be informed about it.....

not everyone reads the new updates info page that comes with a new update or patch..........

I love this new Film Viewer option! I now film every sortie possible, if I dont like it, I can just delete it! And I can name it what ever I want to.

only options are auto turn film on at launch of plane/GV  it automatically pops up the save / rename / delete box at the end of every sortie that you film...regardless if you manually turn the film on /then turn it off or if you set it auto.... just hitting the save button / key is going to list them the same way they were listed before this feature...... the box pops up each time you either land sucessfully and exit to tower, auger, get shot down or manually turn it off from recording......

I am getting the box pop up when I turn film recording off. When I turn it on is doesnt happen. This is a problem. I often hit record in the middle of a fight then turn it off while still in the furball. Now the pop has got me killed several times.

What is the dot command for auto film on or off?

I'd suggest not turning it off in the middle of a furball.  What's it hurting to be running while your in the middle, and wouldn't you want film just in case something pretty cool happens in that fight?  Matter of fact, I don't do anything in the middle of a furball but try to fight my way out of it.  Just my $.02

The only problem I have with it is that I get about 2 secs of screen freeze when I turn it on, but I'm just going to have it automatically do it from now on when I take off.

I believe you can make the popup stop, but you don't get to name them (they go back to "film1" etc).

I seem to recall going in and turning it ON, but can't remember where I saw it. Check out the flight options.
