Stalwart: I'd love to be touring right now, and to play Austin (among many other places). Unfortunately, my personal situation won't currently allow it. It certainly makes it an uphill fight to not be able to go on the road and build a fan base. It cost on average $100,000 or more for your typical band to tour for a year. I love being on stage, but have obligations that prevent me from quiting the day job right now. My hope is that I might be able to gain enough recognition through the internet and radio to sell a song or two. A single hit song could potentially allow me to take the plunge into music full time.
