If ya ask me....
« on: September 26, 2008, 02:41:17 PM »
...and ya haven't btw.
on the Presidential election: dont care no more. I mean really why does anyone?
It doesn't matter who gets in there really. Congress passes laws the President is little more than a figure head taking credit or blame depending on whats happening. Democrate or Republican...is there really going to be much difference with the 2 choices we have? lesser of 2 evils...gimmee a brea please!
Seems more like wagging the dog than ever. Its the congress we need to replace. The elections take up so much airtime and draw everyones attention that on election ay ppl dont know WHO to vote for in congress so the same smucks keep getting re-elected time and time again.
All the wasted money for 2 guys to say what they think we want to hear to get elected. Thats all either really do. If just 1 candidate would take just HALF the cash he or she got for this election and used it to help some of the homeless or give it to a needy charity THAT would be impressive. It would show they really do care.
Instead they spend and spend so they can spew more of the same crap they always do.
Change? pfft change my arse its all just more of the same. Im sick of it all.

Personally I think we need a revolution. get em all out start over with what the founding fathers intended. Use the constitution as it was written. Really be free.
sure there will be problems, they will need to be dealt with together...not spewing a bunch of empty rhetoric on TV.

Im pissed off at all this. sorry for the lil rant. sorry if this offends but, the current status quo aint working. hasn't for a while now and until we all get together and force some change then it will continue.

VIVA LA REVOLUTION!!!!
Crap now I gotta redo my cool sig.....crap!!! I cant remeber how to do it all !!!!!

Could you please specify precisely what isn't working?
Afk for a year or so.  The name of a gun turret in game.  Falanx, huh?
Apparently I'm in the 20th FG 'Loco Busters', or so the legend goes.

After watching the debate...and personally i feel it was more dancing around the topic. I got to thinking. Why in the world would McCain pick Palin? I mean really. I'm not saying she is bad or anything but, after watching the two interviews with her, it's obvious the only thing she really brings to the table is to maybe grab some of the woman's vote.
The woman doesnt seem to have a clue. So here I am thinking WHY...McCain isnt stupid, he has played the political game far to long. Some conspiracy theorists in the near future (if they haven't already) might claim he was forced to so that he would loose the election and "their" man Obama would win.....maybe. Otoh Obama picks Bidden, who can't keep from sticking his foot in his mouth.
The more I think about it the more I feel that no matter who wins its just more of the same.
The debate or atleast the first hour i watched was mostly rhetoric. The moerator tried several times to get BOTH to answer the question "what will you do in regards to the financial crisis" they both spewed their own brand of campaign jargon but neither really got into detail....maybe they just dont know as yet.
Regardless it will be congress that decides anyways. I still think its Congress  we need new leadership in not just the President
Crap now I gotta redo my cool sig.....crap!!! I cant remeber how to do it all !!!!!

palin doesn't have a clue, really?

i wonder how many of the 57 states obama will carry, biden thinks FDR went on TV in 1929 and biden thinks FDR was president in 1929. ( algore had not yet invented the TV in 1929 and FDR was elected in 1932).

yeah, but palin doesn't have a clue.   :rofl

VIVA LA REVOLUTION!!!!

LOL.. guess somebody's regularly scheduled TV show was pre-empted?

Might be time for us to stop whining. Man up; take responsibility and march our wailing pouty selfs on down to a polling station on election day and vote all our incumbents out and vote for a third party candidate like barr or write in mickey mouse. So, lets all take action. Lets tell the folks in the media we're unhappy. Write our congressmen. File bankruptcy if the government bails out wall street. When we see local BS in local politics, we need to do something about it.

Making this somebody else's problem for the last 40 years has brought us this..  for us to change it, it might take a bit of commitment. Something along the lines of 'To this we pledge our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor'.

Not lip service on a BBS like this one.. it's like preaching a choir around here. ;)
The price of Freedom is the willingness to do sudden battle, anywhere, any time and with utter recklessness...

...at home, or abroad.

Everything.  Everything is precisely what isn't working.  There is not one thing in the government that IS working.

Hey! somebody knows what's in the Constitution! Hooray!

Democrate or Republican...is there really going to be much difference with the 2 choices we have? lesser of 2 evils...gimmee a brea please!

So vote against your encumbant Rep and Senator.  And get your friends to do the same.  If we were to replace 25 Senators and 405 Representatives, we could have a revolution without firing a shot.
