I'm an extremely knowledgeable Lotus fanatic (not being snooty, just honest), so please don't take offense Die Hard.

This is the FIRST time I've heard of Lotus mentioned, so I'm calling BS.   mg has a habit of really laying on the poop and has been cornered many times.

The Isuzu's were fun to ride in.   My fav Lotus' are the Esprit V8 and the Carleton.   I'd still take a Carlton over any sedan made today.   It was the fastest sedan until BMW recently dethroned it, not too shabby for a sedan last produced in 1992.

The Carlton:

I think they said on Top Gear that the GTR was tuned by Lotus, but that's Top Gear. Other sources say the same though. I don't know - don't really care. :)

"Sources say that the purpose of this particular testing session was to evaluate the GT-R's suspension which is being tuned by Lotus at their development center in England."

Well, if this is real competition you can rest assured that Porsche is already making a faster engine.

Top Gear about the Ford GT:
Wheels are German, brakes are Italian, Gear box is British, the body is British, steering rack from an Aston Martin Vanquish, The chassi was setup by a couple of guys from Lotus.

Dat jugs bro.
