why would they not be legal? they burn very clean.

Roads are paid for thru fuel tax.  Fill up the car in your garage and bypass the fuel tax and its called tax evasion.

People have already been taken to court by the state for not paying fuel taxes on used cooking-oil bio-diesel they brewed up in their garage and fined pretty heavily.

sorry , i forgot about LE TAX.  They need the tax to fund research on alternate fuels.   :lol
