Read the step-by-step tutorial on the AH Wiki.  Muuuch easier than trying to explain it here.  Welcome to map making. :aok

Here's the, "get on your feet" tutorials. That means it doesn't teach you how to make MA terrains, it just teaches you how to use the TE:
