Break Right! Break Left!

I love the new audio "Check 6" call.  For those of us without Roger Wilco and who can't type fast enough in the heat of battle this has been a great addition.  It definitely adds to the immersion and team play.

To expand on the "Check 6" call, I'd like to recommend to HTC that we also add mapping key commands to "BREAK RIGHT [FILL IN NAME]" or "BREAK LEFT [FILL IN NAME]".  Many times I'm closing on the nme plane that is chasing my friendly and want my countryman to break left or right to help me line up the shot.  This will add to the gameplay and help to coordinate a dogfight with my other wingmen.

European Air War had this kind of "call" (though it was an AI call only) and it was great.  Since this is just another mapped key command it's purely at the discretion of the individual pilot whether he wants to use it or not.  I think this would be pretty simple to implement as well.  Any thoughts?

Now that is a good idea. Here is another. Quit turning! Drag him up!  .

He he he.  I've seen that TOO many times...

My only problem is when our own guys are doing that.  Our base is under attack and we're wasting 5-6 guys chasing down a single plane when he's flying on borrowed time anyway.

Rip....I prefer to call it the 'Soul Train'

I'd like to have a "Rope the Bastard!" call. Too many times I call a six and the guy starts squirming left and right, and I'm flying behind him in my Luftwaffe flying brick spraying like Stevie Wonder because I can't keep with them.

Anyone remember ACES OF THE PACIFIC comms system? It was really good, you could send a lot of messages "Break right/left", "Dive" "Enemy on your 6", "Return to base", "form up", etc etc.

If memory serves me right, you had to press the letter C then choose the comm by selecting its number. It was really fast and easy to use. In a short time, it became a reaction rather than an action

Guys, what you're asking for is a radio system like the one in Counterstrike.    And that would be sooooo cool.

On the other hand, use RW instead.

Tac, are you sure that was Aces of the Pacific?  It sounds like European Air War to me.  At any rate, that would be just fine to bring up a selection and then cycle thru. Or, as I suggested, you can map which keys you prefer and leave it at that.
