Hi all.
I had a great fight in Late War last night. I was over the furball island in blue (I think) in a K4. There were two Ki's and a 109K4 that were slightly above, harrassing another bish.
After I climbed out co-alt, I came back in and got into it with the 109 and one Ki. What makes the fight unusual is that it was immediately obvious that these guys were squadmates. Their teamwork was just brilliant; in fact, I'd say it was the single best example of lead/wing flying I've seen in this game so far.
I swear, it was like a lesson in loose duece fighting technique. I've flown with squaddies alot, and I've flown against squads alot. I know most of my 'teamwork' usually devolves into separate 1v1s where I clear my squaddies tail or him mine, if things start going south. These guys kept an offensive/defensive split the whole time and maneuvered expertly such that I could never get a clean shot at one without the other getting on my 6.
Eventually 3 other bish came up, as well as another Ki from their squad. I know I got shot down and at least one of the other bish got shot down.
Anyway, that's it I guess.
<S> Most Wanted! That was really a memorable fight.
Toonces out.
