AH Film player spin
« on: October 16, 2008, 10:25:21 AM »
Ever since the new edition, my player spins in the cockpit, and sometimes freezes up when in external view --- no matter what I do. I have tried going back to standard screen support, downloading a fresh new film player, and various other sequences in vain.

Although it won't kill me, it's very annoying... on second thought, at my age maybe it would kill me (heh, heh)

Any suggestions?

Sounds like the classic problem with a dual-core AMD CPU or a mobile dual-core CPU from anyone.

Try setting the film viewer to run in "Windows 98/ME" compatibility mode.

Thanks, but that didn't  help. (It gives me the "problem occurred, do you want to tell MS" box.

I am running XP, home edition version 2002, service pack 1, on a Compaq Presario, AMD Athlon,
XP 1800+, 1.53 gHz, 640 MB of ram.

Oh well.... :(

Ok, then I will need to se a DXDIAG output, but you really need to get Service Pack 2 for XP.
