« on: March 20, 2000, 11:45:00 PM »
Effective immediately.....

The following charges will be levied on all Aces High Pilots!

Border Tax...In the event that anyone should cross anothers country border, a charge of $.37 will apply.

Log On Lag Tax...Anyone from another country must pay an additional $5.00 due to causing lag for the rest of us!

Altitude Surcharge...Any pilot who exceeds 25k feet, must pay an additional $2.00!

Ammo Excise Tax...Any pilot flying anything that throws cannon shells must pay an additional $10.00. All proceeds will go to the Aces High Flight School, so that those pilots might learn to actually demonstrate some gunnery skills!

Finally...An Annoyance Tax...Only the following pilot must pay this tax....RAM.

Thank You

Rude,

These charges are on top of the new basic service charge, right?

So now we have the basic "$30 for the first hour, with all additional hours free" AND the charges you mentioned?

I heard there was also going to be an "egg tax" based on the weight of the bomb you buy. $.05 for a 100, $.15 for a 250, $.25 for a 500 and $.50 for a 1k, right?

Then there's the "drop tank deposit"....if you come back without your drop tanks you lose the $.50 deposit.

If you bail, it's $1 for chute repack. Ditching carries the $5 aircraft recovery surcharge.

I heard they are still refining the system, but eventually we only pay for what we use, I think.

I think that that would be unfair.
RAM would be subsidising the rest of us with attitudes..
But a JG2 tax would be fair..and very lucritive..TAX the masses!

I'd guess that Rude is a democrat...

Hitech and Pyro appear to be Libertarians, who think that there should only be a level sim tax, that compensates themselves aptly enough, as well as fuels the machine for progress.

This is the standard that I agree with.

Although, with my current limited abilities, there should ALSO be lower Base level subscription price with hourly fee.

Right now I'm without an AH account because I can't fly enough to justify $30 bux.

So, have the $30 unlimited for the guys that can...

AND have the 9.95/plus hourly fee with $29.95 stop loss, and get OUR business as well as those others.

Just my opinion, which without a subscription, means exactly squat.

You forgot the runway tax
to take off on the runway is $15
To vulch is $25
To be vulched is $25
To crash your plane with a witness is $50
To crash your plane without a witness is $1

Plus the rude surcharge for starting this thread is $29.95 a month.

And antix musn't be a Californian, or he'd have learned how Reagan got around the University of California's no-tuition policy.

Anyway, here are some that seem to have been overlooked:

Discos carry a one-time restocking fee of $5.00
A $.02/round ecological tax to cover the cleanup expenses of collecting the depleted uranium (can't leave heavy metals lying around, can we?) from expended M61 shells.  The "ack tax" is automatically levied on the pilot of the plane nearest to the trajectory  of the round.
A $1.00 fuel efficiency tax for flying the p51, F4U, P38, B17 or B26.
Metallic paint jobs cost $.50 extra.

Oh, very gentle guys...

Anyway I wont pay any annoyance tax, cuz when paytime arrives I'll surely move out. When I feel annoyed I simply dont pay for it.

No, no, no ...

All you need to do is charge 30 cents, per round of ammunition you fire.

That would keep HTC in Ferrari's most likely

.30$ round is a bargain if you were actually buying the ammo, heck I'll vote for that one!

Besides, the .50's boys will spend more than us cannon dweebs for a change

$2.00 per sheep capture.. molestation; .50c extra per incident, with a $1.00 rebate for the Bish mandated Knit Sheep Catch and Release program.

$5.00 per cat punted surcharge.. (1.00 discount per wall impacted)

And lest we forget; $100.00 per chute shot.
