Looking at a few posts after the BBS problem I see that some people are inordinarily concerned with the number of posted messages displayed in their profile. Also with their member rank indicated.
I suggest letting the users to purchase higher number for a reasonable sum and coming up with more ranks such as:
junior member
member
senior member
member superior
great and mighty member
highly exalted poster
grandmaster

etc.

Personally I think HTC should just change the "ranking" to something a bit more descriptive like:

Newbie Dweeb
Dweeb
Veteran Dweeb
UberDweeb

Maybe add a category for "Whining Dweeb" if you go over x number of posts in Y number of days that contain the words "Chog", "uber", "N1k", "Hispano", "turbolaser", "dora", "Runstang", or "MW50".
