Seems like more than 1/2 the runways are a REALLY bad idea. The last thing I want is a runway pointing into a hillside when I'm upping in a fully loaded buff.

Any chance we could get those runways removed from the take-off buttons?

Also, runway markings (what's historically accurate for WW2 runways?) with matchin buttons (i.e. 045 instead of a 'NE' button) would be kinda cool.

As I remember from most of the war footage I've seen most runways if you can call them that were just dirt/grass strips in Europe, in the Pacific I think the marines put down some kind of metal strips that were perforated but I cant remember what they called them.

I wouldnt mind knowing why we don't have any East-West runways. There's a few instances where one would be nice, like on this map. But since maps are changing with 1.06 it's a mute point.
