I find it very annoying how I get placed on the runway. All planes are placed "on top" of each other, or rather "inside" the other. And on the same spot
Wouldn't it be better if I could chose which runway I take off from? On big bases, with 3 runways this means 6 possibilities. And even on small runways 2 possibilities.
And don't put my figher inside a b17, please

Certainly would make vultching more difficult, which might be good -- or bad -- depending on your point of view.

I like that idea. It would offer some protection from vulching and it would force vulchers to actually have to attain some skill in the vulch.

Thinking more of the issue, actually two kings of "takeoff" procedures would be useful.

When people unrelated to each other try to take off, the runways would be assigned in a manner, that everyone is taking off from a different runway. If all runways are occupied, people have to wait.
Of course, if several runways are free, you could chose which one and in which direction (I just hate to turn when I'm put in the "wrong" direction for takeoff, as it is usually).

The other would be when people want to take off in one group, like leader and wingman or a bigger bombing squad. Then, all would line up at the same runway, one after the other.

Anyway, just thoughts...

Agree, there's nothing worse than being in a FW190, within the structure of the B17, worse part is, my head is about the level of the B17 pilots rectal area

How bout' having multiple hangers scattered around the field which are numbered. When you click fly you get as msg asking which hangar. Then you have to taxi to the runway of your choice or the closest.

Food for thought.....
