Base capture problems
« on: February 04, 2000, 08:52:00 AM »
Last night I witnessed 2 knights, one in a spit and one in a c-47, take what looked like an operational base and the ack didnot even seem to fire. At least till the capture was over then it came up and fired at me. What is up with that it is rather bothersome to try to defend a base only to be shot up when it is captured. I am not sure whether the ack fired on them or not, but I know that if it was it should have torn that c47 apart.

I wasn't there, but this is a fairly common occurence.

DC the reason they didn't get shot is that someone in a bomber had knocked down the ack earlier.

Then as soon as they captured the base, the ack regenerates. Realize that this is now THEIR ack, and you are right in its firing envelope.

Thats why it killed you.

Wabbit and Co. were kicking prettythang last night, they captured 4 bases in the hour I played, I flew outside support (little known to them) in case any stragglers tried to 'sneak up the rear'.
