Mic/headseats.
« on: October 26, 2008, 03:25:12 PM »
Is it necessary to have a push to talk mic on the headset? I was just reading the radio section, and noticed that it says to "push the button". The one I just got doesn't have a ptt button,so I guess it open all the time. What do I need to get?

"Push the button" did not refer to a button on your mic. It's the ingame button/key that you push. Default keys are "F12" for local range channel, and "t" for the tunable channel (used for squad, missions etc.). Many players have mapped those keys to a button on their sticks.

In case you were reading about the radio on the help page, you may want to take a look at the corresponding section at the Trainer Corps website too. It's a bit more elaborate: http://trainers.hitechcreations.com/
