Vista Home Basic mic/headset issue
« on: October 25, 2008, 01:22:31 PM »
Guys, I can't get the games sound to route to my Logitech mic/headset (USB) once I start the game. Sound continues to route to the speakers with the mic enabled. Where should I check in Vista to route the sound to the headset?

control panel/ sound

In there you will see options for headphones/speakers, clicking on that then properties will allow you to change the settings.

also try different ports when you plug it in. For instance when I had my old RCA jack headset it would not work properly when plugged into the front panel jacks.

ya try all of the above,be sure to update the drivers aswell.

Vista has a strange interface for sound and doesn't work well with AHII,that said it's not impossible fix it. For my system I had to plug mic into rear panel and headphones on front panel.

BTW,dont expect the same quality sound in AH with vista,xp has much better sound.

Skuzzy can explain the reasons much better that I.(hands off to Roy)...LOL
