Headset

Looking for a decent headset that is good for vox as well.

Price range?

For about 40-50$ Logitech has some good sets.
ClearChat Comfort and Pro USB ones.  The mics are attached well, sounds is great, mic is clear sounding and noise canceling.

I have the Comfort (50$ at Officemax after taxes and warranty), and it works great.
The Pro is simply a better set-up and is suppose to have better sound/mic.  I prefer the controls on the Pro, but it was a little too much (50$ before Taxes and Warranty).
They are comfortable, affordable, good quality, and durable.  Some people will most likely have better Headsets, from other brands.
These are just ones I prefer.

  I agree, Logiteck has gone way down hill over the past few years.  I also own Plantronix headsets, Bluetooth devices, never a problem.

I've got a gigaware headset...after my dog sat on it and broke the right earphone off, it still works great ( wires still attacched)

Bodhi, I highly  recommend Turtle Beach. I use the HPA2's. Very pleased with them.  I've used plantronics and logitec.. they never last... always a cord or a can breaks.  Each can has 4 speakers in it. The cord has a quick connect so if you pull on it, it merely seperates instead of pulling the headset off your head or breaking a wire.

I went through a Labtec and then Two Plantronics headsets.   They're garbage.

I had a Plantronics set that worked ok until the wire was accidentally cut.  I now use the Turtle Beach set that Steve recommended and like them very much.  I think the sound is great.  They also have an in-line volume control and a detachable mic.....if that is something your looking for.

Good luck in your search.  I know sometimes it is harder to make a decision when you get so many suggestions.

I've used the turtle beach set like Steve ( he's my hero  ) I've had mine for almost a year with no problems, and the sound is awesome. Drowns out "wife ack" very well

I like to keep the clutter down as much as possible on my desk.  I need to have a pair of headphones for my music listening as the wife ack can get bumpy if any type of bass is detected in the other room.  So instead of buying a separate headset for my gaming needs, I use my Sennheiser HD485 headphones (http://www.sennheiserusa.com/newsite/productdetail.asp?transid=500266) and a Logitech USB mic stand.  The draw back is the mic isn't as clear/good as a boom mic would be, but it does the job.

 I will say,I've had  my plantronix for a couple of years and no probs what so ever. and for the price they're pretty good.
