I have more kills than deaths.  Why is my kill/death ratio less than 1?

K/D ratio is as follows:

Kills/ (Deaths+captures+bails+1)

so for K/D scoring a capture or a bail counts as a death while a ditch doesnt.

When you crash and die that counts as a death in the score as well.  Ditches count as 1/3 death as well.

I think that ditches count against your K/D ratio as much as bails and deaths, regardless of whether someone gets credit.

It seems to be Kills/(anything resulting in you NOT landing successfully at base+1) from what I can tell.

Apply this formula to your statistics and it will match!

I have a follow up scoring question:

What happens to your stats when you fly as a gunner?

I am 90% sure my gunner kills don't show up under either my bomber or fighter numbers.

While I am at it: Were do vehicle scores get shown?

Vehicle scores are currently listed under
bombers. Hopefully that will change soon.

RAM is correct, except discoes count as 1/2 of a death in addition to the formula:

                         Kills/ (Deaths+captures+bails+1)
