Boneheaded play calling by SF at the end.  I would rather have 3 passing downs at the 2 than two running plays.  Give the QB a chance to redeem himself.

I'm just glad Hightower was held to only 4 fantasy points which means I won by 4 this week . :D :rock
Lost 3 of the bat at the beginning of the season, one that was foolish in week 5, now I'm back on a roll making a push for the playoffs, at least the wild card spot.  Our league is so lopsided, 3 divisions, and the top 3 in the East which I'm in could be #1 in the other two.

Ya cougar I thought the same thing. Was too much like Phillys ending last night. It was still a great game though. I couldnt help but think the whole SF team with the last 20 seconds was so stunned it had a chance, it didnt know what to do with it. Deer caught in the headlights.

It's only fair...that first busted red flag review was a total cluster---I think they were reviewing a play from a past USC game because even my DOG could tell the dude was clearly inbounds--both feet--then shoved out by the defender.

"New Coach" is Mike Singletary.  He was formerly center linebacker with the Chicago Bears during their heyday and was probably the only guy on that field with a Super Bowl ring.  No one played with more intensity on defence than he did--and between he and Dent here highly feared.  I remember many a time where SIngletary got the sack and the QB did not move for a minute or two...and counted fingers all the way off the field.

I saw some pregame with SIngletary going off on "non-team concept player(s)"-- I did not hear him name names, but I would HATE to be in Singletary's doghouse.

If you noticed, Singletary was calling all the defences, but not the offiences---looked like an offence/QB coach was calling those.

He had that part of the catch down, where he screwed up was not maintaining posession as he hit the ground.  Even if the receiver is out of bounds he has to control the ball all the way to the ground or it's incomplete.

Yep the tv commentators even commented on that fact.

I started following the Niners back when they had this new coach by the name of Bill Walsh, the starting quarter back was Jim Plunket, and OJ Simpson was a running back. Yeah I know I'm old and that was before they ever won a super bowl. and now the circle is complete went from being one of the greatest teams in the NFL to being an also ran. Hopefully Mike Singletary can turn things around. He is one of the most intense players I have ever seen play.

When the Cards coach waved his red flag and got recognized as a review, I would have countered it with a review that it wasnt a proper procedure for the review and demand it nullified if it had gone the other way.
