Gents,

Given the need to turn the CV groups into the wind, it is permissible for the CV to drift out of the box to launch and recover aircraft.  Primarily this means recovering aircraft towards the end of the frame.

Please plan accordingly.

We had an easy run in on the Kaga and her Cruiser Escorts, what with the low number of CAP, Ack turned down to northing (I took 12 hits as I dropped through 3k with no damage) and the nice straight course.

That's up to the CIC.  For the Yorktown, my squad was the CAP, and I had control of the ships.  So, as they were being attacked, I put them onto an evasive course.  Ultimately, evasive action is allowed, as long as the ships stay in the box.

The 13mpg was tasked with the defense of an axis cv. I noticed that the ack was turned down. A tbm slowly walked throught the ships without any damage.  Personally, i like the settings due to our kates and vals, however our auto ack killed nothing.  Hope the cic's take note.. Tuk151

There's that much of an effect even if it's only increasing it to 0.3 or 0.4?
