WWI in Color

This was interesting:

Like the WWII in color stuff, having color just gives it a totally different tone af reality IMHO.

Some of those photos just looked too clean.

Photos 9, 12, 15, 16 looked the most genuine to me.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

They worked for National Geographic after the War.   They aren't clean, it's just like music.   Some take care of their material.   I guarantee you Hildenbrand and Gervais-Courtellemont "took great care of their" material.

As did Frank Hurley on the Shackleton Expedition.

Those are ALL genuine.

Good set of pics.

A terrible war whose effects are still felt today.  Though overshadowed by WWII, it should never be forgotten or its world changing nature be underestimated.
Do not attribute to malice what can be easily explained by incompetence, fear, ignorance or stupidity, because there are millions more garden variety idiots walking around in the world than there are blackhearted Machiavellis.
