An FSO/ Special event wish

Well this is a very simple wish.

When i play offline missions, i turn icons off. It is some real fun.

So why cant the event runners be able to turn off icons.

I think it can make FSOs, scenarios, snapshots SEC etc so much better

Surely. But just think about how hard it is for some people to tell the difference between plane silhouettes.

Especially in a game. In real life you could for certain identify what type of four-engine bomber you're engaging from a mile out, but in AH it's just a black dot because the resolution can't match what your eyes can see. The technology just isn't there (well, it potentially is but not in a way that's affordable to everyone).

The icons are a way to compensate for the limitations of the graphics engine.

Not to mention, those with the better computers would be able to visualize aircraft at longer distances.

Ummm... to make it mentaly-challenged-proof can friendly icons be enabled and enemy icons disabled in an arena?  Or is it all or nothing?
