They ran tests and the CAT scan showed that his brain looked good

 

You really don't know how fortunate you are. We hear about "near drownings" and how CPR brought the child back. What we don't hear about is that often, very often, there is brain damage; usually quite severe.
I'm much pleased to hear about the CAT scan, I hope good news continues to come your way.

We are thankful that you guided his mother in administering CPR when she found him in the pond and we ask that you guide the Doctors and nurses and give them the tools to bring Gunner back to health. We ask also that you give the family comfort and strength to deal with this situation and I pray that their faith will strengthen them.

Prayers and best wishes. I have three young sons, and the Owyhee River is just out back. I worry, sometimes overly so, hoping that my kids take heed and don't do anything stupid back there.
