Assigning RAM in Vista

Help me re-find the area that you assign how much RAM gets dedicated to your graphics card!? I have 3G of RAM,I thought the mo da better, so I assigned allmost 2G. Skuzzy told me its NOT the case. I cant remember where the adjustment is.Have went thru every tool in control center and f10 upon reboot, saw nothing there.

Elfy are you saying you have on-board video with shared memory? Otherwise your question doesnt make sense to me. I think you would be better off by increasing virtual memory changing your hard drive to a faster drive (or better yet a solid-state drive) and getting a real video card.

ty, yes it IS shared onboard memory :cry, and yes I AM getting a "real " card :aok But in the mean time, WHERE do I adjust the amount of RAM dedicated? Ive been there once, just cant find it again!      akELFY

The only place I have ever seen this is in the BIOS (chipset area). It could also be part of Control Panel if your video chip has a controlling driver utility installed there. Beyond that I have no idea how to proceed.
