Tonight iv played the best, biggest, and most organized version of highschool aged cops and robbers iv ever played!
1) HUGE
about 100-200 kids playing from the highschool
About 2-3 miles to your destination (Highschool 2 In-n-Out)
2) Organized
took just 30 minutes to get the cops and robber teams sorted, to their destinations
and rules understood started at 10:10pm ended at about 11pm
Runner of it is Genius, well liked, and respected.
Its kind of a secret. Not really something you really find out on your own like i did. Normally somebody needs to invite you and school administration knows nothing about it (would not approve neither would the authorities since its not sponsored and is on curfew boundary)
3) terrain
the runner of it makes sure that the terrain is a challenge 4 both sides. It was a Mixture of Urban and outback with housing and dirt roads and fields, foliage, neighborhoods etc etc...
RULES
No trespassing residential areas
No Drugs Or alcohol (i was supprised that i saw NOBODY in the huge group do it)
Fugitives have a Ten minute head start
If tagged fugitives must go in the cops car and dropped off at the finish location (your basically out and yes the cop team uses cars)
Now other stuff
PROBLEMS
if theres 300 people playing how does a tiny amount of adults and leaders that are playing control it if they're rule breaking
Fugitives cant tell the difference if its a regular car or a cop team car so if I'm a man coming home from work or an actual cop and I see about 10 teens run n duck from me would i be a bit suspicious.
authorities got a little concerned when they saw a huge group of Highschoolers in front of In-N-Out or even by the school at 9pm-11
GOOD STUFF
1) we had a couple of off duty cops and veterans playing with us.
2) Large Scale and very actiony (cop team gets to use cars)
3) Socialize
4) Fresh Maps, destinations always changing either if its from school to Not or Weatfield park to jack-in-the Box or visa versa etc etc i love it how the leader always makes it at a restaurant, outta breath and thirsty you can buy something and sit n relax, and the fast food restaurant doesn't mind having 300 teens over.
They find it funny when they see a full van full of caught fugitives get out of the tiny van. They reefer to them as "Clown Cars"
5) happens every Saturday pretty much
6) bottom line its just a huge scale of people who wanna play a large more exciting version of cops of robbers
(but we just call it fugitives)
I did in fact get caught, ran through the residential area with 20 people (bad idea)
then get scraped to death by dead bushes in the outback area.
and i got caught by the cop team just about a half of a football field away from the destination after their 4th time they tried with my general group.
My Father just had a ball driving up and down the street spooking off the refugee's....
sry if i have bad spelling, its late and I'm going blur.
