my first night in juvi they ordered chinese.  kinda funny i did 'hard time' in a place where they have a lounge with a couch and tv, and they order food.... it's a real hell

i had kitchen detail...an on the cans of meat it said (and i quote) "not for human consumption"
still to this day i have no clue what the hell it was.

True story.

When I was in college, my room mate and I were walking to the cafeteria to eat dinner one evening.  We took a short cut that took us around the back of the dining hall.  There was a stack of empty boxes next to a dumpster that had the following text printed in bold black letters:

BEEF:  GRADE D, BUT EDIBLE

 

From that point on, our conversations in the dining hall usually focused on the "BUT EDIBLE" part and whether or not it was accurate.
