1plus, no luck is involved.   All you need to do, is fly the Hellcat for a Tour.   Try and get in 60-80 sorties in it.    If you get the crap kicked out of you, roll it again.    If you land 10 victories, roll it again.   Practice, practice.    When you get pushed down in it, get back up and keep at it.

There is no such thing called luck.   A man makes his own luck.

I'm out of town until the 29th in Sacramento.   When I get back, I'd be more than happy to help you get better in it.

I'm good in it, just that since I have less visability than the 38G, I seem to kinda fall into the wrong choice of fighting. I remember when I started getting 3-5 kills for a week, for some reason, I'd either get vulched, or I'd get thrown off the back of a CV. :lol

I'd like to wing w/ you though, see what you do, kinda follow. F6F has to be flown completely different than any other plane in the game IMO. Almost like the P39.  :salute

I've finally learned my two lucky and unlucky planes....

My luckiest plane is the P38G... for some reason, I'm just destined to do good in that plane.

My unluckiest plane (and sadly a plane I love to fly) is the F6F... I seem to just get in the midst of the horde when I'm flying that plane :lol

What are your lucky/unlucky plane(s)?

:salute

That or the P-38 is just an outstanding fighter. Not that Ive come anywhere near mastering it but one thing I have noticed, even tho I bombtruck in it almost all the time, is that its a killer with deflection shots. Really, for some reason it seems as lethal as a Typhie with deflection shots. That and if you pretend east/west is actually up/down you can often manuever it into getting angle shots on the enemy. I often die in it cause Im dropping bombs and end up in bad tactical positions, "but who cares"? Im starting to think a good P-38 stick makes his own luck. Best of all the airplane is underestimated by many.

A 109K4 with the JG5 skin for some reason, unluckiest is anytime I grab a G6 orG2 with gondies, I always seem to find myself in a cauldron of light cons all coalt from all directions, last time I upped a Heavy G6n it had 100% + a DT and gondies, reached about 3k when a horde of 16's turned up!

Luckiest plane for me? I really don't think I have one, but my most UNlucky plane has to be ANY F4U. Even if I'm not flying it, that is just one tough plane to learn to fly, and one hard one to beat if fighting someone who knows how to fly it.

Lucky plane: spit 9. If I didn't love the 16 so much, I would fly this all the time.
Unlucky: spit 8. No matter how many times I hit someone, they don't seem to die. I become frustrated and target obsessed and end up getting picked.
Workhorse and plane of choice: spit 16. I like to win  :aok

Luckiest? F4U1A. do my best in it, fly it obsessivly, cant get out of her.
Unlucky? 262. either i die from stupidty, die from a lucky 1K 1 shot kill from a plane, or simply just get to slow and set myself up, i can never seem to understand the 262.
