Black Dots - Graphics Issue

firstly, I apologise if this has been discussed earlier. here's my problem;

I know that on the flight map (clipboard) the aircraft are shown as dots, but in fact all dots are black to me, whether it's friendly or hostile aircraft. in the graphics options (where you can change the color of enemy aircraft indicators) I played with the color sliders, but the color always stays black.

another problem is when I'm driving a vehicle, the hud gear indicator (p, r, n, d, l) is also black and has no leds so I can't tell which gear I'm on... however, I don't have any problems with the aircraft hud, as I can see the red leds of the trim indicators perfectly.

in the normal view (in the air) I can see enemy aircraft and its type in red, and friendly aircraft and the pilot name in green, no problems.

my graphics card is an ATI radeon 9200 series with 128MB display memory, having latest drivers. (Catalyst 6.11)

I'm using an lcd widescreen monitor so my display mode is 1440x900.

This is a known issue between the game and that particular graphics card.  All you need is the right driver sir.  Jump over to my website at the following link and download all its yummy goodness    It is the 4.12 series driver I believe.  It will have the ATI logo associated to it for 9000 series cards.

RedHawk is correct, the 4.12 drivers are the best ones for the 9xxx series cards.

@The Fugitive: In Radeon 9xxx series, are the 4.12 drivers are best overall, or only for Aces High?

Won't say "overall" because I'm not a techie, but from what I have read the newer drivers don't add anything for the older cards, and sometimes the the updates for the newer cards in the new sets of drivers create bugs in the older ones. I used the 4.12s up through my x850 and never had a problem.
