Bounces, Gotta check that 6!

  I've been noticing lately that I'm getting alot of suprise bounces on people.  I mean total suprise, where I'm able to start shooting at 250-150 yards.  Last night I flew in a 190a8 and grabbed to 25k and went hunting.  I was able to bounce 3 planes by suprise, 2 were the same pilot about 10 min apart.  The 2nd my aim was off and I only damaged him, so he survived a couple of turns (p38) on the 4th bounce there were 2 cons so I was spotted and only managed to damage a p47 before I had to bug out for fuel.

 Has anybody else noticed if they are getting more bounces?  People realy need to clear the space around them. SA... SA... SA!!!!!!!!!

Some of these folks may be on auto-climb. I do it all the time, and take the chance to still be grabbing when I get back. Hey, when nature calls...  

I seldom ever get surprised, nor do I often surprise people, who are actually behind the controls. The adjustable view system pretty much eliminates an surpise bounces.

Yup ... I've noticed it too.  That, and several incidents of pursuit fixation lately.  Not that I'm complaining, mind you... a nice, predictable target makes for less trips back to base for ammo.

I think you're right udie.  In my timezone I would say that probably 60% of the guys online are on their free two week trial.

Now, they may not have even configured their '6' views as yet.  But yeah, definitely seeing more guys falling for the bounce.

Heh yesterday me, Pirado and nath were busting VVS aircraft. Was on a LA-5 when i decided checking 6 would be a good idea.

There he was, ManedeW in a tiffie, d400. PULL roll PULL tracers whizzing by, on RW scream "TIFFIE TIFFIE TIFFIE, CHECK 6", immense relief to have survived "Horrido" scream from Pirado as he kills an LA-5, then he breaks with the tiffie d500 after him.

2v1, the tiffie did not stand much of a chance.

Phew.

But I've been jumped a lot lately. My SA isn't what it used to be.

Also managed to jump Regurge's P-47  . Woohoo  .

I was circling A39 last night, saw 3 190s line up do a nice formation take off.

Looked real preddy... for about a minute!

Its amazing how people flying in tight formation don't really watch their 6 for salamanders in tiffies
