New Computer/Vista question

I just got my new computer.  It is a 64 bit vista home premium.  I've read that you need to create a new directory to download to.  That seems easy enough but knowing me I'll screw it up.  Any other suggestions I should know about.

Also it has 6 gb ram and 2.66 ghz intel.  Will I be able to run the high res pack.

When you run the AH installer just change the install directory to something else. For instance change "C:\Program Files (x86)" to "C:\Program Folders" and you will see a lot less problems. So if the game wants to install to "C:\Program Files (x86)\HTC\AcesHigh II\" just make the change to "C:\Program Folders\HTC\AcesHigh II\"

Your question concerning the high res pack cant be answered until you can tell us what video card and more about the rest of your system but no harm in trying it first.

Do you know how to set your page file? Your page file with V64 should be 1.5*RAM = minimum size and 3*RAM = maximum size. Unless you have someone on your system that just clicks every link available and installs programs without reading prompts and queries you probably wont need UAC so turn it off frst thing.
