Nice work Weaz... Seriously, you need to send some of this to Threadless.com  They pay you if your art makes the T-Shirt.

Ive always really enjoyed paintings of objects, ships, aircraft, occasionally winter landscapes, etc. I just dont have the creativity to appreciate the abstract stuff :(

well seeings how every one was so nice...

from someone who does "art" for a living, I personaly dont like it.

thats not "art" its a computer making colors and shapes, anyone can do it. even the most unartistic person could do that.

IMO

I have to disagree with you on that. Both your hand-drawn art and his computer generated art both require the same thought, the... er... feeling? They both involve the same creativity. As far as the production, its simply a difference of medium. Whereas you have developed the skill of your hands to create the image you want, he has developed computer skills. Its not cut-and-paste, it requires talent, practice, all of the other skills you have, just focused on a different tool. Do you consider photography art? That involves a lot less of the skill aspect than this.

'Computer drawn' isn't really a good way to describe it (unless it's a fractal or something, I don't know how he made it). For the most part, you're just using the computer as a tool the same way you would use a pencil or a paintbrush or what have you. It comes with it's own set of difficulties and advantages.

Im sorry "ink" let me go grab some crayons and a piece of computer paper for you.

BTW i understand this is youre "IMO" but just because its a different form of art does NOT mean its not art.... Like a tatto, i would never consider coloring on the human body art but you do and you make a living off of it...
I have a very wide variety of skills when it comes to art on the computer...

(I am 15 and i dont do this for a living BTW)

LOL good idea.... because everyone can do it well here ya go... the program download link. http://www.gimp.org/ good luck

lol, Art is differant, for many people. some things that are art for one is not art for another, some photography is art yes, some are not.
Tattoos are the last true Art form, its the only living art there is. and nothing you or i can do on a computer or a piece of paper, can compare to what a Tattoo is.

already got GIMP,  i was not dissin what you did, just stating my opinion, you asked for it.
as far as computer art goes this is my first attempt at using a computer for art.about a half hour, its done with a program very similar to GIMP.called coral painter. and with it ANYONE can become an "artist", does not mean you are though!!

im sorry but you seem to be on the ignorant side... From what I have read you are saying that tattooing is the only true form of art? Which is extremely wrong.  Do you own a painting? Do you own a sculpture? These are the major forms of art in the modern world... But for you to think that tattooing is the last true form of art I am shocked!  And yes tattooing takes artistic abilities.  BTW OFF TOPIC!!!! ( did you do that on a tablet if you did where did you buy it, how much, and is it good.) back to the rant. You are also saying that anyone can become an artistic but that doesnt mean you are though. now wtf did that mean is that saying im not an artistic because if so you are so far off... Or does that mean you contradicted youre self... because making art DOES make you an artist no matter what form of art.

Most of the expressions of feeling i consider art.
-Graffiti
-Drawing
-Sculpture
-music
-drawing
-cartoonist

the list is so long and you think tattooing is the last form of art.

The meaning for the term "Art" has morphed over the ages.  What may have been 'Art' hundreds of years ago, or even 10 years ago may not be now, to some.  Art changes for each person.

-Graffiti

This I must disagree with. Graffiti is simply rubbish, an attempt of teens to deface the property of others simply to satisfy their own desire to be rebelious. Its trash.

when I was talking about anyone becoming an "artist", I was refering to the new computer programs that allow anyone to become an "artist". with programs like GIMP and Coral painter, anyone can do art, does that make you an Artist? NO
I know plenty of people that can use these programs and produce stuff that they never could with a pencil, put a pencil in there hands and they have no clue.
I also know many people who work as tattooists who cant draw a stick figure with a ruler, does that make them artists? not in my book.

take that list of "expressions"
none of them mean crap, except music(thats on a whole differant level)
any of the others though are meaningless.
take a painting or drawing, it is a life less piece of paper, now take that same drawing or painting and put it on skin, it becomes a living, breathing, work of art. it loves, it hates, it smiles, it cries, it is alive!!!!!

yes I did that piece with a Tablet, I believe I got it at circut city, for around $125.

you need to not care so much about what people think of what you do, if that was the case I would have stopped Tattooing 21 years ago.

one mans treasure is another mans trash.

I honestly am past caring... I now just want you to now I am an artist, I can pick up a pencil and draw, I can do things out of the computer if you were here about 2 years ago (2006) i posted about 5 of my drawing of planes....

I can post more i would just have to draw them because i pretty much shoved  my drawings away in a chest and i dont feel like going through them....
