Joystick troubles
« on: November 26, 2008, 11:19:52 AM »
Ok been away from game for long time, got bored and downloaded it. Since I haven't played any flight sim in a long time I needed to reinstall my joystick, did that. It is a Logitech freedom 2.4, yeah yeah I know peeps here dont like it lol. Anyway I setup the profile, linked the profile to the ah exe, and calibrated it in XP, and ckecked it in the game setup. When I click the buttons, movement, throttle etc all the axis' and stuff change with the specified keys like it should. When I go to fly, nothing is working except the guns. No throttle, no hat, no control etc... any ideas?

you have to select it in the game also, on the notebook select controllers and find yours. Calibrate it in the game, and test it by opening the "Advance" window to see the raw input data

thanks Fugitive! I figured it out, I did not click the default setup button, I kind of figured the game would know that lol! Anyway, got it working. I had to increase the deadbands as it is super sensitive and was jumpy.... the rudder needs some work, and maybe a little more dead bands will smooth out the nose bobbing at low speeds (like landing). At flight speed, the nose is pretty smooth. I have to learn what I programmed the buttons too, but that is what offline missions is for lol.
