http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UzxKLztjB6wIt's my dad's '54 Super Cub, he lets me exercise it for him sometimes,

It's an L-21B, the militarized version of the Super Cub, has an O-290-D2 135 HP engine, the squared off windows in the rear and the overhead plexiglass is an easy way to differentiate it from a standard Super Cub. It served in the Italian Army (Esercito Italiano - what the E.I. stands for) from '54 through the early 70's as a pilot trainer / recon/artillery spotter. Was sold to a civilian here in the States and painted in the civilian white with red stripes, dad bought it in '87. Found out it had some corrosion in the fuselage/struts in '94 (probably from sitting outside at Viturbo AFB in Italy for so long) so that's when it was restored and recovered/painted to it's original Italian markings.
Not the fastest thing around, cruises at about 100 MPH, but it's fun to fly, stick & rudder, low & slow with the side doors open.
