The drivers are the latest from Nvidia - 182.08

My PS is a PC Power & Cooling Silencer  610

I've used computer/monitor "sleep" mode in the past without a problem.

Oh yeah...the Nvidea global settings I'm using are the ones Homeboy posted in this forum several months ago. Aside from setting Vert Synch to "Force On" I'm clueless as to the rest. Would be nice if there was a sticky posted here for recommended Nvidia and ATI control panel settings.

Thanks for the replies.

Since there is not really a common setting other then default this would be hard to do,  Different PSU's, Drivers, Memory, FSB Speeds, Stock and OCed processors and GPU's, MB's, Chipsets etc etc.  To many variables to have a "Use these settings".  What def works for a system does not def work on another.

i just fried my card doing the mod.. aparently you need the 8 chip version of the card .. mine only had 4 .. so i RMA'd it.. lesson learned. but the improvement the mod does for those that can mod it is very nice.

I hope noone has been stupid enough to try that mod link he posted.   That has red flags all over it, sorta like the Directx hacked "benchmarking program."

I have to wonder, now that he posted the link here, admitted to using it and now is trying to commit fraud.   Is this something that should be quelled in the future?
