A little diversity

I think that task groups shouldn't all be the same with 1 northhampton class heavy cruiser and and a bunch of fletcher class destroyers. I think they should have a little more diversity and have tgs with different ships, different classes like cl de bb, and maybe ships from other countries, like a mogami class cruiser or akagi class carrier or an ark royal class carrier or a clemson class destroyer and others

I like this idea. One of the few bright spots of Il2/Pacific Fighters is the number of unique ships. I'd love to see several different carrier classes; including the American Yorktown, Lexington and Independence-classes, various types of CVEs, British carriers, Japanese, (Shokaku, Hiryu, Ryujo, Akagi, etc) different types of cruisers (heavy, light and Battlecruisers), battleships (Iowa, South Dakota, Yamato, Tirpitz, etc) and different classes of destroyers and destroyer escorts. Something to add more diversity to the naval aspect. It would especially be useful for FSO and scenarios.

I'd also like to see the ability to go into an "attack" formation.  You know, that column the ships make when opening fire so that all their guns are available on the target.

I'd like to see it but just two points to make:

More diversity means more textures/objects to load.  Not a big deal for those of us with better machines but having been one of the poor souls with a dinosaur for so long I still have sympothy for those who can't afford better rigs.

Would we rather see this than updating the existing plane-set or other new development?

One thing I thought would be nice is to have three different CV group types, assigned randomly to each side at each reset.  One side would get the current American set, another would get Japanese task forces and the last would get British task forces.  Those are the only nations that operated CVs.

They aren't there's a TT map where task groups seem to be random.
