I'd say both Jap and German war machines were equally savage to combatants and non combatants. Murdered millions of innocent folks. War is not all glory, many die that are never known or found.

wrong again........ The Germans (other than the Jewish people) were no where even close to the Japanese. The Japanese killed over 300,000 Chinese just looking for the Doolittle Raiders. The were countless people gathered up for chemical experiments and many complete towns completely destroyed (people included) throughout China. Did Germany have a Battan death march? Errrr NO! Was every prisoner taken by the Germans starved into skeletal form ? Errrrr NO! I could go on but don't feel I need to.

The Russians (our Allies) had 30million people murdered. Read up on how many German survivors came back from Russian captivity. Erich Hartmann was held for 10 years after the war ended, what the hell did he do that 10 years of hard labor required? I'm sure if you totalled up the civilian death toll that the German and Japanese  civilians  suffered there were probally more  civilian loses than the total American military loses. I think that a little light WW2 reading would bring you up to speed.

Ahem, they started it.  To me, if anyone attacks you, you do what you have to do.  Also, the level of "Bad" is different between the two sides.  Yeah, no one was perfect, but there is no comparison to what the allies did - after they were attacked - to what the Germans or Japs did.  Although, it is ok for the Germans because they were really just following orders so it does not count.  Lets all give a big <<S>> to them :huh

I did read it.... I think you should read it. I see that you wrote "to me if anyone attacks you, you do what you have to do"  now... I read that the US was attacked or do I need glasses?

Read my post.  Where did I mention the letters U and S?  :rofl  Before we talk about books lets focus on reading a simple post.  However, not only I have read said books, but I have family stories/experiences have seen the actual locations of where the German contributions to the human race took place, and have listened to stories of a few survivors.  As far as my grandma was concerned, you can take your book and, well, you can figure it out.  She did not need one to tell her what she had gone through.  As I said, no one was or is perfect.  But what the Germans and Japs did on a systematic basis, does not compare.  Go dust your uniform now  :lol

I hope you don;t think that the allies is really only the US, lol

Britian were the ones that declared war on Germany upon the attack on Poland. Basically the Germans were getting land back that Hitler considered to be German soil. Hitler never had any desire for British conquest. I guess your from Poland by the statement that Germany attacked you.

Well both of my parents were from Europe. My father lived in occupied Holland, so I do know first hand the stories. If a book needs to be shoved somewhere then you can personally come and visit me and  try it for youself. That kind of B.S. threat doesn't go too far with me. How do I know where you came from. The majority of the people that play AH are from the US so my apologies for not realizing that you could be from somewhere else.
