Two of my favorite teams from two of my favorite states. This is college football on the real side. Heck, even high school football in TX. and OK. is good enough reason to shutdown a town.

Style Points jumps a team that lost over the team that won....All it amounts to is running the score up. Stoops is good at that.

Im a Longhorn Fan and have been since I was old enough to know what football was.

That said I hope Oklahoma gets F'in killed if they play Florida or Alabama. I hope Florida puts up 70 on em.

BCS is a joke.

Stoops isn't the only one.  Ole Urban down there in Florida knows as well, but hey everyone does, so I don't understand why they don't do it more.  It's good to see that some coaches won't bow down to the BCS nonsense though.

Yep.  They should just go ahead and take the 'C' out of BCS then it would be right.

Thing is, Mack wouldn't run the score up on A&M and usually wont do it no matter what the game.  The starters come out and any touchdowns that are made are incidental b/c the second stringers want theirs.

We lose the Tech game by one play and beat OU by 10 points and we get passed up.  Just shows you that the attention span problem that this country has even extends into the sports world.  But hey, that is the system that everyone plays in, it's broken, everyone knows it.  We aren't the only school that has been shafted in the past and we won't be the last.

Yes, I'm whining.   :cry

Texas scoring 21 points in the 4th isn't running up the score?  That was almost half their scoring.  ;)

What will happen if Fla squeeks by Bama? In a close one will it give them the style points to be the new number 1?

What if the BCS puts them in 3rd with OU #1 and UT #2 WTF happens then? Or is this just not possible under the current system?

If Florida beats Bama they will be #1. Squeak by or not they'll get it. Oklahoma can kick a last second field goal and remain #2. If Bama wins Oklahoma will face them. If Mizzu were to pull off the upset and beat Oklahoma Texas would have a claim to go to the BCS Championship game. If USC makes waste to UCLA this coimng weekend then they to would have a case.

This B.S. of running up points to win votes is terrible. Strength of schedule and wins and losses should be enough. Scoring 60+ a game the last 4 games is what Oklahoma did and Stopps did it becuase he understands the system. Mac Brown understands it to but would rather his other players,  seniors especially get some time playing. It's the differance between classy and aszhole.

None the less...it is the system...it is broke...it suks...but everyone is in it and until the powers to be have the balls enough to tell the money people to F off...it will remain screwed up.

yeah the bcs is just plain retarded, who knows what would happen, their rankings have suprised me a few times this year, like texas tech dropping back to 7th the other week, that was pretty unfair

associated press rankings have florida at #2 and oklahoma #4 not exactly sure what system they use to find rankings, but i like it  :P

This almost happen when Ohio State was #2 and Mich #1.  After OSU beat Mich, people thought they will meet one more time for the national champ.
