SLI Trouble

No SLI works ok as far as I can see at least there is an apprecible performance boost in other games without any issues. I have to confess to being a complete SLI skeptic. It was just that 8800GT's were pretty cheap and I had one already. My rig is starting to show its age (you'll agree) and this was it's last hurrah if it can give me another year or so. The whole thing is probably proc limited now. I have a nice Lian Li case so it'll be a new board etc at some point. I have to say it still plays FC2 fine and gaming rigs don't age as fast as they used to.

Especially in SLI you have a CPU bottleneck.  The good news is you can still keep your cards and upgrade the motherboard and processor without too much of a headache.

Yes but what you has now is more then enough for AHII. The downside is that if you have the same problem I did with the AMD CPU you will have to put AHII into Win 98 compatibility mode which should make SLI inop. I was using geforce 7950s in basically the same system and hit the bottleneck but SLI still made a small improvement and I kept using it as long as I could.
